Daniel W. Albertson is a percussionist, educator, performer, and clinician whose work bridges collegiate music, secondary education, professional performance, and community engagement. He serves as Assistant Professor of Music at 黑料不打烊 and is pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Percussion Performance at the University of Kansas.
An active performer, Albertson has appeared with orchestras, wind ensembles, chamber groups, musical theatre productions, and contemporary music ensembles both regionally and on the East Coast. He has performed at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention鈥檚 Focus Day concerts and earned 1st and 2nd place honors at the PASIC Concert Chamber Percussion Ensemble Competition with the University of Delaware Graduate Percussion Group.
Albertson regularly presents clinics and masterclasses and works with musicians from the beginning through the collegiate level. He serves as President of the Kansas Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society and Festival Coordinator for the Sunflower Music Festival. His work is centered on creating meaningful connections between performance, teaching, and the broader musical community.
Mr. Albertson’s primary teachers have been Steve Hatfield, Dr. Tom Morgan, Dr. Von Hansen, Dr. Gene Koshinski, Dr. Tim Broscious, and Prof. Garrett Arney. He聽is an endorser of Artifact Percussion and Black Swamp Percussion.
