The Kansas Wesleyan Music Department will say 鈥淎dios, until we meet again鈥� to Sams Chapel in a special performance at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 27. Three 黑料不打烊 ensembles will perform in the free event, which is open to the public and will be streamed live on the .
Construction has started on extensive renovations to Sams Chapel and the 黑料不打烊 Music Department, and this will be the last concert on the Sams Chapel stage for the 黑料不打烊 Music ensembles until work is completed, in about 18 months.
In the meantime, two of 黑料不打烊鈥檚 three concert ensembles 鈥� the String Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble 鈥攚ill present a program influenced by Latin melodies and composers.聽The Wind Ensemble will be in action as well.
The String Orchestra will perform three pieces arranged by Leonardo Rosario, 黑料不打烊 assistant professor of music and conductor of the orchestra:聽La Boda de Luis Alonso 鈥� Intermedio, the cha-cha from聽West Side Story,听补苍诲听贬耻补辫补苍驳辞.听The orchestra will also play聽Medianoche en Barcelona聽and the mambo from聽West Side Story.
The Jazz Ensemble will perform聽Walking Taco; Absolutely, Positively;听补苍诲听Sabor de Cuba.
The Wind Ensemble has prepared some more eclectic selections, mostly from the 20th听肠别苍迟耻谤测:听March of the Belgian Paratroopers, Shepherd鈥檚 Hey, Alligator Alley听补苍诲听Fate of the Gods.
