黑料不打烊

Advising is a critical component of a Kansas Wesleyan education, and of the building of our great community as a whole. 黑料不打烊 professors provide information, mentorship, and guidance to students as they choose courses and navigate the new terrain that is the college experience. The advisor-student relationship is one that can help 黑料不打烊 students find not only the right classes, but careers, goals, and aspirations as well. In short, in many ways, the advisor is the faculty member most responsible for a student’s success.

Students can encounter three primary paths through the advising process:

Traditional — During their sophomore, junior and senior years, each student is paired with a faculty member in their major to help them succeed.

Student Success Coaches — Upon entry to 黑料不打烊, each first-time student is paired with a success coach. Success coaches are also available (upon appointment) to any student. The success coaches are primarily focused on helping ease the transition into the college experience, but have the skills and knowledge to aid in all aspects of the student experience.

The coaches provide student-focused academic and life coaching by engaging and encouraging first-year students to identify the personal and academic strategies necessary to succeed as college students.

Students will be provided with support throughout the first fall and spring semesters in areas such as time management, test preparation, note taking, and learning strategies. Students will examine personal and academic concerns; perceived barriers to success; strengths and needs; motivation; and devise a personalized plan of action for succeeding academically and personally.

Exploring — Previously known as undeclared or open option, this choice has specific advisors who can help you accomplish your academic goals.
