All Students

  1. In order to receive a financial assistance award package, you must also have completed your 聽(FAFSA) and included 黑料不打烊 as one of the Colleges to receive your FAFSA results. The 黑料不打烊 school code is 001929.
  2. If your FAFSA is selected for 鈥淰erification,鈥� you must “Complete Verification鈥� before the Student Financial Planning Office can calculate and offer aid to you. More about FAFSA Verification.
  3. If Student Financial Planning Office requests other documents, these must be submitted also, before an offer can be calculated for you. Please log into your My黑料不打烊 Student Portal and follow this path to find and check your documents: Student Portal> Student> Financial Information> Financial Assistance Document Tracking.

Applying for admissions to 黑料不打烊 is the first step toward securing financial aid. Once you鈥檙e admitted to the university and complete the FAFSA application, we鈥檒l put together a financial aid award package for you.

Financial Aid Offer

You will receive your Notification of Aid (called an 鈥淔inancial Aid Offer鈥�) in two locations:

  1. You will receive a 鈥淔inancial Aid Offer鈥� in your 黑料不打烊 email account. Check you 黑料不打烊 email account DAILY beginning about a week after you submit your FAFSA.
  2. Posted on your My黑料不打烊 Portal Account. Contact the Financial Aid office or your Admissions Counselor with questions.

REMEMBER: You MUST accept your聽aid on your Portal Account, or they will not 鈥渄isburse鈥� (be applied to your account) to pay for your charges, leaving your tuition bill unpaid.

If you DECLINE an award, you must make other arrangements for payment of the tuition and/or charges that would have been paid with the aid program you are declining. When Will Aid be Applied to My Student Account at 黑料不打烊?

When will my financial assistance award be applied (disbursed) to my account with the University to pay my charges for tuition, etc? When do I receive my financial aid money?

Your Financial Assistance Awards, except campus employment wages, will be applied to pay your charges once you have completed these steps:

  1. You have accepted or Declined each award offered on your my黑料不打烊 Portal Account, and
  2. You have submitted all required documents, and
  3. For first-time Direct student loan borrowers, you have completed your Entrance Counseling and your Master Promissory Note at the .
  4. For prior Direct student loan borrowers, you have completed the Annual student Loan Acknowledgement at the .

The U.S. Department of Education allows us to post the Financial Aid awards to your account no earlier than ten (10) days before the first day of classes for each term. However, modular schedules require that disbursement be postponed until the student has attended sufficient units to be eligible for the award. Undergraduate Summer Session, all eight-week courses, and all graduate courses are modular and are therefore affected in this way.

Processing of aid begins at the completion of the Add/Drop period for each term.
